As part of our experience in La Perouse, we visit the La Perouse Museum, which is dedicated to showcasing the area’s heritage and Indigenous history. The museum offers insight into the early European exploration of the region, as well as the long-standing connection of the local Aboriginal people to the land. You’ll have the chance to explore fascinating exhibits that highlight the cultural, historical, and environmental significance of La Perouse.

One of the unique experiences offered here is our Whale Watching Ceremony In the months of May to June and August to November, a special event that celebrates the annual migration of whales along the coast. During this ceremony, participants are guided by knowledgeable Indigenous storytellers who share traditional stories and significance tied to the whales, emphasizing their cultural importance and connection to the ocean. This immersive experience not only provides a chance to witness these magnificent creatures but also deepens your understanding of their role in the ecosystem and Indigenous narratives.
