We respect your privacy the same way we respect Country. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, book a tour, or get in touch, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Natcha Cultural Tours is an Aboriginal-owned cultural tourism business led by Eric Brown, a Traditional Custodian with ancestral connections to the Eora, Bidgigal, Dharawal, and Gundungarra peoples. We operate tours across New South Wales National Parks and deliver corporate and group cultural experiences.
We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It generally falls into three groups.
Personal information you give us

- Booking details, including tour date, number of guests, and group composition
- Dietary requirements, allergies, and accessibility needs where you share them with us
- Payment details, processed securely by our payment providers (we do not store your full card details)
- Communication preferences and how you heard about us
- Feedback, reviews, testimonials, photographs, and video where you choose to share them
- Information about your organisation if you book a corporate or group experience, including billing contacts
Sensitive information
Some information, such as health, dietary, or accessibility details, is treated as sensitive under the Privacy Act. We only collect it with your consent and only where it is reasonably necessary to deliver your tour safely. We will not use it for any other purpose.

- Pages you visit on our website, time spent, and referring URL

3. How we collect your information
We collect your personal information in the following ways.
- Directly from you when you book, enquire, subscribe to our newsletter, or speak with us in person or over the phone

- Through our booking system, Rezdy
- Through online travel agents and reseller platforms you use to book with us, such as Viator, GetYourGuide, and RedBalloon
- Through inbound tour operators, travel agents, hotel concierges, and corporate event partners who book on your behalf
- Through Meta lead ads, Instagram lead forms, and other social media lead capture tools when you submit your details through one of our advertisements
- From publicly available sources, referrals, and social media interactions where relevant
Where someone books on your behalf, we rely on them to have your consent to share your information with us.
4. Why we collect your information
We only collect what we need, and we use it for clear purposes.
- To process your booking and confirm the details of your tour
- To deliver your tour safely, including accommodating dietary, medical, or accessibility needs
- To communicate with you before, during, and after your tour
- To process payments and issue receipts or invoices
- To respond to enquiries, feedback, and complaints
- To follow up with you when you submit your details through one of our advertisements, lead forms, or website contact forms
- To send you marketing communications where you have opted in, and to tell you about new experiences
- To improve our tours, website, and customer experience
- To manage our relationships with trade partners, agents, and corporate clients
- To meet legal, insurance, safety, tax, and regulatory obligations
5. Who we share your information with
We share your personal information only with people and platforms that help us run our business and deliver your tour. We never sell your information.
- Our team members and the Traditional Custodians and Knowledge Holders delivering your tour
- Rezdy, our booking and reservation system
- Payment processors who handle transactions on our behalf
- Online travel agents and reseller platforms, including Viator, GetYourGuide, and RedBalloon, where you booked through them
- Inbound tour operators and trade partners who have booked on your behalf
- Our website host, Squarespace, and any email marketing platform we use
- Analytics, advertising, and marketing agencies supporting our campaigns, under confidentiality obligations
- NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service or other authorities where required for permits, authorisations, or safety records
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, and insurers where reasonably necessary
- Government agencies, regulators, and law enforcement where we are required or permitted by law
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of the platforms we rely on store or process data outside Australia. For example, Squarespace and some online travel agents operate servers in the United States and Europe. Where your information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Marketing communications
If you have booked with us or subscribed to our newsletter, we may send you updates about new tours, events, and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing hello@natchaculturaltours.com.
We handle marketing in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We will not share your details with third parties for their own marketing.
8. Cookies and website tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure performance, and support our marketing. We use providers such as Google Analytics and Meta advertising tools.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works for you.
9. How we store and protect your information
We store your information in secure, access-controlled systems, including our booking platform and trusted cloud services. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
We only keep your information for as long as we need it to deliver our services, run our business, and meet our legal obligations. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
10. Access and correction
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading.
To make a request, email hello@natchaculturaltours.com. We may need to verify your identity before we respond. We will aim to respond within 30 days. If there is a cost to retrieve the information, we will let you know before we proceed.
11. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first. Email hello@natchaculturaltours.com with the details, and we will investigate and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
12. Data breach notification
If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
13. Cultural information and imagery
Our tours share cultural knowledge, stories, and sites that belong to Country and to the Traditional Custodians who hold them. We handle cultural information with care.
- We do not share sacred cultural content, restricted site locations, or Traditional Knowledge without the approval of the relevant Traditional Custodians
- Photography and filming during tours are guided by your host. Please follow their guidance about what may be photographed and what may be shared publicly
- If you share photos or video from your tour on social media, please respect any guidance given by your host and tag us where appropriate
- We may take photographs and video during tours for marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please tell your host on the day
14. Children's privacy
Our website and marketing are not directed at children under 18. Where a booking involves children, we rely on the parent or guardian to provide information and consent on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 18.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, technology, or the law. When we do, we will post the updated version on our website with a new effective date. Please check back occasionally. Continued use of our website or services after the update means you accept the updated policy.
